New Orleans spirit. Springfield roots.
A DIFFERENT SOUND.
A FAMILIAR FACE.
Blacktop Brass is led by Adam Lyon, the bandleader behind The Oompa Meisters. This is the New Orleans-inspired side: street-band rhythms, heavy horns, and room for a little swagger.
Our identity
SOUL IN THE SOUND.
CARE IN THE DETAILS.
The attitude belongs in the music. The planning should feel straightforward.
Blacktop Brass takes inspiration from New Orleans brass and second-line traditions, with funk, jazz, and blues in its musical direction. We’re based in Springfield, Massachusetts, and bring that influence to celebrations across New England and New York.
Tell Adam what kind of gathering you are creating. A wedding procession, a private party, and a public festival each need their own conversation about sound, timing, and the people involved.
The Oompa Meisters is Adam’s other band, with its own repertoire and performance history. If you are looking for Bavarian or Oktoberfest entertainment, explore The Oompa Meisters.
